MacTavish: A Therapy Dog for All Ages

MacTavish is a dedicated therapy dog who brings comfort and support to individuals of all ages, from children as young as eight to senior citizens as old as 98. His gentle presence has been a source of healing in a variety of situations, including:

  • Supporting a young child through the challenges of their parents' divorce.
  • Guiding an adolescent boy in expressing and processing feelings of shame.
  • Helping a senior citizen cope with deep grief and find renewed connection after experiencing profound loss.
  • Bringing joy and connection to a senior citizen in the final stages of life.
  • Offering a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans with severe PTSD in an anxiety clinic.
  • Helping both horses and people overcome their fear of dogs.


A Well-Trained and Accomplished Companion:

MacTavish is not only a loving companion but also a highly trained and accomplished canine. He enjoys hiking, learning new tricks, agility, and barn hunt in his free time, and has earned the following titles:

  • CAA - Coursing Ability Advanced
